Abstract

This article analyzes the role of information technology (IT) in supporting student learning and teaching, highlighting the opportunities and challenges associated with the application of IT in higher education. IT not only provides flexible teaching tools, enabling instructors to create dynamic and engaging lessons, but also offers students the opportunity to study anytime and anywhere, accessing a wide range of learning materials. However, the application of IT in education faces several challenges, including unequal access to technology among students, infrastructure issues, and the continuous need for faculty training. The article suggests that, despite these challenges, the potential of IT to enhance the quality of education is significant. The strategic implementation of IT is essential to optimize its effectiveness in teaching and learning, contributing to the sustainable development of higher education in the digital age.
