Abstract

Vietnam tourism in general, Thai Nguyen province in particular, although there have been many achievements, is still facing many opportunities and challenges. Tourists are increasing, the needs and desires of visitors are increasingly diverse. In this context, Thai Nguyen tourism has developed rapidly in quantity and quality, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development, but that development has not been commensurate with the potential and has not met the high demand of tourists. This requires the tourism industry and tourism enterprises to improve the quality of services in general and the quality of tourism human resources in particular, especially tour guides (HDVDL). Within the framework of this scientific article, we focus on analyzing the situation of Thai Nguyen guides and proposing solutions to apply the National Tourism Vocational Standards (VTOS) in training to improve the quality of this special tourism workforce.
