Abstract

In the process of solving the polynomial equation f(x) = 0 to find the solution of the equation, depending on the requirements of the problem, we find the real solution of the equation or all the solutions (both real and complex solutions). If we are interested in all real solutions, then we need to determine as precisely as possible the interval containing all the solutions. In addition to determining the range containing the roots, we also provide methods for finding roots of polynomials. The bisection method allows us to calculate approximate solutions of polynomial equations based only on the coefficients of the polynomial without requiring information about the solutions of the equation.
