Blended learning trend – advantages, difficulties and prospects of foreign language teaching in the 4.0 era

Abstract

Following the development of the global economy, there are more new teaching models and trends. Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the Covid-19 pandemic make E-learning more popular. However, E-learning has long-term effectiveness and ability to stimulate self-learning thinking for learners, making education researchers skeptical about the sustainable effectiveness of E-learning. In that context, the trend of teaching Blended learning combining face-to-face and online has appeared and brought initial achievements. Within the scope of this article, the author mentions blended learning and foreign language lectures with advantages and disadvantages of this teaching method.
