Practice of vocational education and student orientation in general education in Lao Cai Province in the period of 2019-2025

Abstract

Vocational education plays an important role in preparing students for entering the labor market. The article clarifies the role of vocational education and relates to the Project “Vocational education and orientation of student flow in GDPT in the period of 2018 - 2025” of the Prime Minister. The importance of vocational education is also determined by the Government’s Resolution No. 44/NQCP: “Implementing channeling and career orientation in general education”; The 2019 Education Law also stipulates: “Career guidance in education is a system of measures carried out inside and outside educational institutions to help students have knowledge about careers and the ability to choose a career based on their results. match the individual’s aspirations and strengths with society’s labor needs. With that importance, on August 19, 2019, Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee approved the Scheme attached to Decision No. 2567/QD-UBND on the Scheme of vocational education and orientation of student flow in general education in Lao Cai province in the period of 2019-2025 has been effective, However, there are still some inadequacies. This study aims to understand the theory and evaluate the practice of vocational
education in Lao Cai province to find the best solution to achieve the goal of vocational education and the distribution of students in the locality.
