Abstract

VR360 virtual reality technology is a new and promising technology with significant potential for application in education in Vietnam. Particularly in the hotel and tourism management industry, where real-life visits and experience are constrained by limited budgets, the number of hotels, and the time available for on-site visits, the application of VR360 virtual reality technology serves as an effective solution to address these challenges. This paper examines the current state and proposed solutions for applying virtual reality in vocational teaching of hotel management at Nha Trang College of Technology, as well as the difficulties encountered during the implementation of practical teaching. Moreover, a survey of over 100 students and lecturers who have experienced this technology shows that learning with VR360 virtual reality makes students more engaged and facilitates better knowledge absorption compared to traditional theoretical teaching. Hence, the research demonstrates that the application of VR360 in vocational teaching of hotel management is highly effective and should be replicated on a larger scale.
