Teaching methods to develop learner competences at vocational education institutions

Abstract

The classical teaching method in the direction of scholastic learning creates for learners to approach the content in traditional teaching activities that favor the value of consciousness, mainly the ability to remember and reproduce knowledge of lessons has been revealing many limitations in improving the active learning and the ability to apply knowledge flexibly, creativity in attitudes, knowledge and skills of learners in real situations.
Competency-oriented teaching methods are models that focus on maximizing the development of learners’ abilities. Thereby, the design and organization of teaching activities, teaching methods oriented towards developing learner capacity... aims to help learners prove their true learning abilities. From here, learners promote positivity, self-discipline, initiative and self-learning spirit to constantly improve learning capacity and learning efficiency.
