ABSTRACT
This article is the research result of a survey on common mistakes in graduation reports of K62 students
majoring in English, Vietnam National University of Agriculture. A total of 124 comments were surveyed to
find out 15 basic types of mistakes, the most relating citation, spelling & grammar, bibliography formatting,
missing literature overview/ redundant/inappropriate, unclear writing, poorly presented research results/
do not adequately answer research questions. From the survey results, the author proposes a number of
suggestions to help students minimize the mistakes in the process of implementing graduation thesis.
