ABSTRACT
According to the “General Secondary Education Program 2018” of the Ministry of Education and
Training, “History and Geography” is compulsory for students from grade 4 to grade 9. In particular, in the
7th grade curriculum, subjects integrated and interdisciplinary teaching has been added into the curriculum
for the first time. Therefore, in this article, the author not only conducts research on the nature and meaning
of thematic organization of teaching but also proposes some methods of organizing teaching on the topic
“Geographical discoveries” in-class. All of these methods would be possible to improve the quality of subject
teaching in the direction of educational innovation.
