ABSTRACT
The article describes the survey results of 1238 high school students on their interests in STEM subjects
including: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technology and Informatics. Survey results show
that students are more interested in basic subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry more than
applications one such as Informatics and Technology. However, when answering about the cause of interest
in the subject, the study returns to focus on choosing the reason: the subject is associated with applications.
The author helping to survey the results has some discussions about how to organize STEM educational
activities in high schools..
