ABSTRACT
Teaching English - Vietnamese bilingual math is an issue that is a prominent educational trend today
in Vietnam. However, how students can acquire knowledge of English and knowledge of Mathematics is a
question that is being raised. Comics support teaching English - Vietnamese bilingual math for 3rd graders
to help them learn rich vocabulary, grammar and math knowledge. The article presents an overview of
English - Vietnamese bilingual teaching, the process of designing comic books to support bilingual math
teaching. On that basis, the authors give an illustrative example for the design of comic books to support
teaching lesson “Perimeter of a rectangle” grade 3.
