Abstract

After 8 week - strength training program for
antagonic muscles, the results showed that the
angonic/antagonic ratio of knee, hip, elbow and
shoulder joints of HCMC male Karate team
changed positively and translated to normative
goal. In conclusion,the experiment program is
effective and achieves the goal of developing
antagonic muscle groups' strength for better angonic/
antagonic ratio. However, the knee joints have
not yet reached normative goal after 8 weeks of
training. Coaches should continue minding this
content in a systematic way to reduce the risk of
knee joints' injury.
