RESEARCH ON THE BEHAVIOR AND LEVEL OF APPROACH TO EDUCATION ON THE ISSUE OF PLASTIC WASTE AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

This study evaluates the current status of behavior and level of access to education on the issue of plastic waste among high school students in Central Vietnam. Survey results on 2,183 students from 10 provinces and cities in the Central region from September to December 2022 show that although students' awareness of the plastic waste issue is relatively high, but their knowledge and behavior towards plastic waste still has many limitations; current education about plastic waste in schools is mainly done occasionally, and the effectiveness is lower than expected; students' behavior towards plastic waste has gender-related differences; grade levels and between research areas. The research results are the basis for proposing appropriate educational measures for high school students in Central Vietnam
