Abstract

In modern society, education in general and higher education in particular are experiencing the great impact of globalization and international cooperation. In that trend, how to  make Vietnamese higher education develop in line with advanced countries is a matter to be solved. The paper addresses the issue of globalization - the indispensable trend for higher education, the basic functions of an integrated university and some orientations for Vietnamese higher education in the trend of globalization and international integration.
