OVERVIEW OF RESEARCH ON DIGITAL LITERACY DEVELOPMENT FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Abstract
The article aims to provide an overview of research relating to the development of digital competencies for primary school teachers from 2010 to 2024. Having reviewed and lysed 39 domestic and international articles, the article suggests that (1) The term "digital competence" is not consistently understood; (2) Digital competence plays an important role, yet the current primary school teaching staff is considered to lack this competence; (3) There are various digital competency frameworks, but they share common elements in some competencies, demonstrating a broad international acceptance of certain competencies within the current digital competency frameworks for teachers; (4) There is a scarcity of research on digital competencies and the development of competency frameworks for teachers in general and primary school teachers in particular, in the current Vietnamese education context.
