Abstract

Open Educational Resources (OER) is a trend developed in universities around the world because of its economic nature as well as its high international integration ability. However, implementation of OER in Vietnamese universities is still limited with few schools having exploited this source in teaching. What are causes of this limitation? The article conducts research on the factors that affect students' intention to use OER. OER is an educational resource based on information technology. Research of the intention to use OER is often via the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology UTAUT  by Venkatesh (Venkatesh et al., 2003). This research is based on the UTAUT model, to explore the causes affecting students' use of OER, and evaluate their influence. The study will provide managers and researchers more information in implementing, applying, researching and developing OER.
