FACTORS AFFECTING THE DECISION TO SHIFT TOWARDS NEW AND PART-TIME JOBS BY RURAL EMPLOYEES IN CHAU THANH DISTRICT, HAU GIANG PROVINCE
Abstract
The research is carried out with the following objectives: to analyze the factors affecting the decision to shift towards new and part-time jobs by rural employees, to propose some solutions to the problems under considerarion to increase income for rural employees. The study was carried in Chau Thanh District, Hau Giang Province in 2021 with the the participation of 200 random households. Factors affecting rural employees' decision to shift towards new and part-time jobs include: land area, number of years of experience, number of idle days in a year, monthly income, health, vocational training, agricultural employment, education level, and ethnicity. Solutions in the coming time to deal with the aforementioned problems are: Developing high-quality agricultural production models, vocational education and training in service industrial parks, creating jobs in the direction of modernity, improving incomes for rural employees, supporting non-agricultural industries, and providing commercial services to attract agricultural employees.
