POTENTIALS AND SOLUTIONS TO DEVELOP FARMLAND ECO-TOURISM IN DONG THAP PROVINCE
Abstract
This article is to analyze the potentials and the reality of farmland eco-tourism in Dong Thap province. The data were collected from secondary sources and interview of 105 domestic tourists. The results show that this mode of tourism with many special fruits, rich experiential activities, nature-friendliness, and local culture has great potentials for development. The assessed elements for its development are landscape, tourism activities, infrastructure, service facilities, staff, service prices, and security and safety of the destination. Based on the obtained results, the article proposes some solutions contributing to the development of this attractive tourism, namely promoting advertisements, organizing farmland eco-tourism tours, renovating the landscape, diversifying tourism activities, improving infrastructure, enhancing human resources quality, offering decent prices, and ensuring safety for visitors.
