The impact of personality traits on personal financial investment intentions: A study on generation Y in Binh Duong Province
Abstract
This study aims to understand the impact of personality traits on personal financial
investment intentions of generation Y in Binh Duong province. The research uses quantitative
methods with exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multivariate linear regression techniques,
data collected from 277 generation Y subjects in Binh Duong province. Research results show
that the impact of personality traits on generation Y's personal financial investment intentions
includes factors of extroversion, psychological instability, acceptability, caution, willingness to
experience, short-term and long-term financial investment intention, impact of attitude towards
financial risk. From here, the author proposes suggested solutions to contribute to advising
analysts and Vietnamese financial companies with the desire to attract investors or to analyze
