KNOWLEDGE OF NURSES OF SHARP OBJECTS INJURIES AT THE HEALTH CENTER OF PHU HOA DISTRICT, PHU YEN PROVINCE IN 2022

Abstract

Objectives: Describe the knowledge of nurses about sharp object injuries – Identify some factors related to nursing’s knowledge of sharp object injuries at the Health Center of Phu Hoa District, Phu Yen Province in 2022. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out among 132 nursing at the Health Center of Phu Hoa District, Phu Yen Province. Results:The rate of nurses with knowledge about sharp object injuries accounted for 89.4%. Some related factors to nurses’ knowledge of sharp object injuries are age, clinical department, work experience, and staffing status (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The rate of nurses who have achieved knowledge about sharp object injuries is high. However, interventions are needed to increase knowledge of sharp object injuries among young nurses, apprentice nurses, and nurses with little experience working
