Abstract
According to the result of a case study, the paper clarifes the facts and difculties in accessing education among children with disabilities in Huong Tuy town, Tua Tien Hue province (2021). Te study applied mixed quantitative and qualitative research methods in data collection and analysis. Te fndings show that children with disabilities who have never atended school account for a relatively high proportion, especially children with intellectual and neurological disabilities and children with severe disabilities; the proportion of children who atended school but dropped out also accounted for a signifcant proportion. It was also found that children with disabilities in the study area faced many difculties and challenges in accessing education such as limited learning ability, difculty in fnding schools ,and unconfdent feelings; in which the group of children with neurological and intellectual disabilities and children with severe disabilities occupied a high proportion. On that basis, the paper proposes some recommendations to support and create a favorable environment for children with disabilities to access education more properly.
