Abstract

When resolving criminal cases, suspects interrogation is a compulsory investigative activity. Using sound and sound-and-visual records in suspect interrogation aims to ensure the accused’s rights and be an effective surveillance method to prevent torture, obtaining testimony by duress, corporal punishment and violations of criminal proceedings. The article analyzes the new regulations on sound and sound-and-visual records under the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code (amended and supplemented in 2021) and points out some problems in applying this regulation in resolving criminal cases.
