Recommendations for the Draft Decree to replace Decree No. 82/2018/ND-CP regulating the management of industrial parks and economic zones

Abstract

Decree No. 82/2018/ND-CP dated May 22, 2018 by the Government on management of industrial parks and economic zones (referred to as Decree No. 82/2018/ND-CP) is the legal basis to ensure planning, establishment, operation, policies and state management of industrial parks and economic zones. However, this Decree has revealed many shortcomings, which are not suitable for the planning and development process of industrial zones and economic zones in Vietnam in the current period. Therefore, it’s necessary to replace Decree No. 82/2018/ ND-CP. The article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the Draft Decree to replace Decree No. 82/2018/ND-CP and makes some recommendations to improve this Draft.
