Recommendations to amend and supplement the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code’s provisions on legal proceedings for persons under 18 years of age

Abstract

The 2015 Criminal Procedure Code’s provisions on legal proceedings for persons under 18 years of age have been amended and supplemented to overcome shortcomings in the 2003 one; however, still remained some limitations. They not only do not guarantee the best benefits for persons under 18 but also make it difficult to solve the cases effectively. Within the paper, the author analyses and evaluates inadequacies on the CPC’s provisions on legal proceedings for persons under 18 years of age as well as proposes to amend and supplement some Articles in the 2015 CPC related to that legal proceedings.
