Abstract

Interpretation of the law plays an important role theoretically as well as practically, as interpretation and application of the law have always shared a close and reciprocal bond. Within the scope of the article, the interpretation is analysed based on the spirit of the Latin terminologies which was initially rooted in the Roman legislation and has been inherited by European countries under the German civil law system. The article additionally brings out a popular multi-faceted method for the interpretation in those countries.
