Hand strength is an important physical factor in practicing martial arts techniques. Evaluating and comparing teaching and training effectiveness is an effective method for reviewing and improving existing training programs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the hand strength of student studying the People’s Police Martial Arts at People’s Police College 1 with freestyle karate students of equivalent qualifications. The results are used as a basis for the adjustment of the current curriculum at the People’s Police College 1. The results show that the group of students who study the People’s Public Security Martial Arts have better hand strength compared to the group of students who study the People’s Public Security Martial Arts. control group, furthermore a strong and significant correlation was found between hand grip and body weight confirmed for all study subjects (r xy =0.75, p<0.05).
