ABSTRACT
E-learning is an inevitable trend in today’s world, especially in the context of the industrial revolution
4.0. This trend has been applied in teaching differents subjects, including English, in many universities in
Vietnam. However, the application of types of E-learning in English language teaching revealssome problems.
To find out these problems,lecturers of English and some students from seven universities in Vietnam were
interviewed about the types of E-learning and technological platformsused in English language teaching in
their educational institutions as well as the difficulties they have encountered during the process. From what
was collected, some suggestions were proposed to solve the problems of types of E-learning application in
English language teaching inthe coming time.
