The sudden appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic had completely reversed people’s lives. One of the
most remarkable effects of the epidemic is on the economic front. Therefore, the consumption habits of
people are also completely changed, focusing on essential goods and avoiding durable and luxury goods.
Many consumption phenomena also occur, such as buying and storing, or increased spending on medical
equipment. This article aims to analyse the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic on the consumption habits of the
people of Ho Chi Minh City, mainly students at FPT University Ho Chi Minh. The article also mentions a
note that consumers should pay attention to when shopping during the Covid-19 season.
