Abstract
Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) was a renowned writer known for his ability to deeply portray the psychological world of his characters. He employed various methods, such as character portraits and dialogue (including monologues and internal monologues), to express the characters’ mental states. In particular, Chekhov emphasized brevity and conciseness, creating an underlying flow in the text that aligns with the characteristics of symbolism and impressionism.
