Enhancing oral presentation skills in english for English-majored freshmen at Bac Lieu University

Abstract

Oral presentation skills are becoming very important in language teaching, especially for university students. Presentation skills are essential in assessing students’ language ability in academic grading system and also help students’ employability after graduation. However, English-majored freshmen at Bac Lieu University have difficulties in English presentation because most students have a few opportunities to practice presenting in English in high school. The article indicates students’ difficulties in presenting, proposes some solutions to enhance English presentation skills and as well as improves the quality of teaching and learning English at Bac Lieu University.
