Abstract

Hanoi Metropolitan University is a higher education institution that has a long tradition and dominant prestige in teacher training in Hanoi and in the country. One of the reasons for those reputations is that most graduates have such necessary qualities of a
well-qualified teacher as good pedagogical skills, professional proficiency, wellpreparedness for the working life, which helps the employers save time for employees' retraining. During the training process, the university always focuses on training pedagogical skills for students, making annual adjustments and updates in terms of content and organizational form of the internship program. In the past few years, the university has applied the model of regular internships with longer internship time, which has provided a better access to the real working environment for students. From our experience in organizing and managing pedagogical internships, from demanding working practices in the current context of extensive educational innovation, we carry out this research and suggest some solutions to adjusting pedagogical internship activities in order to improve the quality of POHE teacher training at Hanoi Metropolitan University.
