Abstract

Since the reform (also known as the Doi Moi), female poets have ceaselessly learned, absorbed and imported new ideas and methods of composition from modern democratic literatures into Vietnam in order to exchange and integrate deeply into the world. Beside some inherent common characteristics, Vietnamese women's poetry has also
affirmed the personal ego with social ties in life after the Doi Moi. The gender characteristics in poetry are then established. The article focuses on understanding the expression of gender characteristics in Vietnamese women’s poetry since 1986 on two aspects of compositional conception and artistic language in order to systematically and scientifically start getting into the world of Vietnamese women's poetry
