SOME NEW POINTS IN ETHICS TEXTBOOK CURRICULUM FOR GRADE 1 AT PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Abstract

For years, ethics has been a compulsory subject for students at many primary
schools. The subject which is supposed to meet the demand of both personal improvement
and social development may help students to encourage their perception of patriotism,
kindness, hard work, honesty, responsibility and other core capacities of Vietnamese
citizens. Recently, Grade 1 textbook has received a lot of attention from the whole society
after being assessed and introduced to the media. Accordingly, this article suggests some
approaches for teaching and learning new Ethics Grade 1 based on several new points in
Ethics textbook of 5 book series that have recently published.
