VALUE OF CHILDREN TO FAMILY HAPPINESS: A STUDY IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

The values of children are elements constructing Vietnamese family happiness. Based on the viewpoint of happiness, on the sociological survey aimed at the elaboration of happiness criteria in Ho Chi Minh city, the article aims to analyze the values of children (the number of children in a family, the filial piety and care among children in the family, children and parents living under the same roof once aged parents) as elements constructing happiness of Vietnamese families. The values of children together with other values make up the happiness of a family.
