SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE – AN OVERVIEW OF THEORY AND APPLICATION IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Being known as high productivity and the world's leading export in many farming products, Vietnam's agricultural industry has been facing many difficulties of quality and value competition strengths. The application of green farming models such as high-tech farming, organic farming, clean farming, natural farming, etc. can be considered as sustainable agricultural approaches to improve farming practices and product quality in Vietnam at the moment Sustainable agricultural also aims to solve social issues such as livelihoods, local identity, and environmental protection as well. This research analyses some key points of the theory of sustainable agriculture, its models and approaches by literature reviews, on that basis, proposes some possibilities to apply sustainable agriculture in Vietnam in the future.
