SOME THEORY ON THE LITERARY RECEPTION OF ROMAN INGARDEN

Abstract

Roman Ingarden is considered by researchers in the theory of literary reception in Germany as an initiator, a pioneer of the aesthetics of reception. This special position of his is recognized by experts in Western literary theory, and Rainer Warning (1974) has agreed by placing Ingarden in the first place among the most receptive aesthetic theorists whose works cited in his book called Receptive Aesthetics - Theory and Practice. This article briefly presents some problems of literary reception theory related to Roman Ingarden's view in relation to Hans Georg Gadamer's view of the history of impact and and Wolfgang Iser's perspective on impact of aesthetics.
