CONCEPT ABOUT THE OLD AGE AND DEATH OF THE VIETNAMESE PEOPLE THROUGH THE PROVERBS: APPROACH FROM DISCOURSE THEORY

Abstract

The old age and death are two important milestones in the biological timeline of a person's life. The article approaches from Discourse theory, focusing on studying "old age" and "death" through proverbs, through these, it is possible to identify the behavior of the Vietnamese people for the time of human life, contributing to decoding the culture of dealing with time in the Vietnamese tradition, thereby helping to adjust the culture of dealing with time in accordance with the modern and industrial life in the period of globalization.
