EFFICIENCY OF REGIONAL LINKAGE IN INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN VIETNAM'S SOUTHERN KEY ECONOMIC ZONE NOWADAYS

Abstract

For Vietnam in general and the Southern Key Economic Zone in particular, linkage activities in industrial development are being promoted in recent times. The article evaluates the efficiency of regional linkage in industrial development in the Southern Key Economic Zone by criteria such as the degree of correlation (level of industrial linkage) between localities in the region in terms of industrial GDP, the industrial economic density, the concentration of industries and the degree of industrial economic spillover of the Ho Chi Minh City developed pole. From there, some solutions are proposed to improve the efficiency of regional linkage in industrial development in the Southern Key Economic Zone in the coming time.
