CULTURAL CHANGES OF RAGLAI ETHNIC PEOPLE IN KHANH VINH, KHANH HOA TODAY

Abstract

Raglai is an ethnic group in the Malayo-Polynesian language family, who has been long-term inhabiting in mountainous areas of Khanh Hoa and other South Central Provinces. The Raglai own a prolific and diverse traditional culture, which contains many distinctive values. However, nowadays, socio-economic development, and the exchange and contact with many other ethnic groups... have made many changes to the culture of the Raglai community. The article analyzes and evaluates some changes as well as factors affecting changes in material and spiritual life of the Raglai community; on that basis, contributes to preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Raglai people in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province in the current context of integration and development.
