Abstract

The Oc Eo culture in Southern region’s outstanding feature is trade and cultural exchange from West to East, in which was the commercial relations with China. Through research from studies and archaeological remains, it shows that traders in the South, Southeast Asia, India and West Asia played an important role in trading, transporting products from China to a lot of part of the world. The relationship between Funan and China was essentially a diplomatic relationship to fulfill the most important purpose of maintaining and developing trade.
