Abstract

The Bank of Agricultural Development is a public bank that supplied the agricultural credit under the Republic of Vietnam in the period 1967-1975. Loans from Bank of Agricultural Development were largely financed by the government and foreign aid. To increase the number of people being able to access this credit, the bank provided short-term and small loans, but mainly for farming activities. Using available relevant primary and secondary sources, this paper studies the formation and operations of Bank of Agricultural Development, thereby contributing to the identification of agricultural credit at the time.
