STATE OF AFFAIRS OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN HO CHI MINH CITY DURING THE PERIOD 2011-2019

Abstract

Through the data of the HCMC Statistics Office, the article analyses the important role of industrial sector to the economy of HCMC. Besides that, the data also shows that there are still shortcomings in promoting internal human resources, the limited competitive capacity of enterprises in HCMC and the decreasing trend of 4 key industries of HCMC that negatively affect the industrial development and the city economy in the 2011-2019 period. Finally, the article proposes some solutions to promote the industrial development of HCMC in the future.
