CYBERBULLYING OF VIETNAMESE ADOLESCENTS IN SOME SOUTHERN PROVINCES AND CITIES
Abstract
Cyberbullying has been occurring in many different forms and left extreme mental health issues, especially with adolescents. This article evaluates the current situation of cyberbullying at some secondary and high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho City by cross-sectional study design. With a deep focus on the motivation and nature of cyberbullying, we found there were significant differences in cognition, attitude, and behavior from the point of the cyberbullying and the adolescents being bullied. Therefore, our team basically propose to develop a cyberbullying prevention program for Vietnamese adolescents to raise awareness, train the coping of Vietnamese adolescents when falling into the cyberbullying situation as well and overcome the psychological difficulties caused by cyberbullying.
