THE INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE OF THE CURRENT VIETNAMESE HIGHER EDUCATION: PRACTICE, CHALLENGE AND SOLUTION

Abstract

The development of the internal quality assurance system (IQA) at the educational institutions has practical implications for improving and enhancing quality of higher education training in Vietnam. The higher educational institutions have been oriented to approach quality assurance international standards and AUN-QA standards recently. The context and practice of applying regulations on internal quality assurance systems, this paper focuses on analysing the necessity of forming and developing an internal quality assurance system for higher education in Vietnam. The study also points out the advantages, difficulties, and challenges in building the quality assurance system of the AUN-QA model and proposing some solutions to guide the development of IQAs of Vietnam higher education
