Abstract
Peace plays a crucial role in the stability and development of each nation and of humanity as a whole. Peace value education is an essential component of general education and contributes to the formation of students’ qualities and competencies. Based on Ho Chi Minh thought, this article examines his views on peace and the philosophical values of peace embedded in his thought, and analyzes the content of peace education in Vietnam’s 2018 General Education Curriculum. On that basis, it proposes several recommendations to improve the effectiveness of peace value education for secondary school students in the current context.
