THE CURRENT SITUATION AND DETERMINANT FACTORS OF TEACHERS’ BEHAVIORAL CULTURE IN HIGH SCHOOLS IN HO CHI MINH CITY
Abstract
The article focuses on surveying and analysing the current state of teachers’ professional conduct and interpersonal behaviour in several high schools in Ho Chi Minh City within the context of educational innovation. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, using a questionnaire survey of 335 teachers to examine specific manifestations of professional conduct across four types of relationships: (1) with students, (2) with colleagues, (3) with school leaders, and (4) with parents and the community. The results indicate that most teachers demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours, reflecting respect, cooperation and professional responsibility; however, some limitations remain, particularly regarding communication skills and handling pedagogical situations. The study identifies key influencing factors, including individual characteristics, school organisational culture, and the broader social context. Based on these findings, the article proposes several solutions to enhance teachers’ professional conduct, contributing to the development of a positive and professional educational environment.
