FACTORS INFLUENCING THE SERVANT LEADERSHIP STYLE OF PRESCHOOL PRINCIPALS
Abstract
The servant leadership style has garnered significant attention from researchers in recent years. This leadership approach is particularly well-suited for education, a field that emphasises the central of human development. The article aims to clarify fundamental theoretical concepts related to this research topic. Based on this foundation, the study surveyed principals and teachers from 50 schools in Can Tho, Tay Ninh and Dong Thap provinces, employing in-depth interviews and statistical analysis methods. The findings reveal that psychological factors of leaders, alongside professional development efforts, exert a significant influence on the adoption of servant leadership styles by principals. These results provide a scientific basis for proposing measures to effectively enhance the application of servant leadership in preschools.
