FOSTERING ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN ECONOMIC AND LEGAL EDUCATION
Abstract
Civic Education at the high school level -especially its economic and legal education - is designed to foster students' personal qualities, and to develop both general and subject-specific competencies. One of its key objectives is to provide students with foundational economic knowledge that supports career orientation, cultivates entrepreneurial spirit, and informs post-secondary educational or vocational decisions. To achieve this, integrating experiential learning activities into the teaching process is essential. This article examines the rationale for incorporating such activities into Civic Education, explores relevant topics for implementation, and proposes effective formats for these activities in order to promote autonomy, creativity, and a proactive, risk-taking mindset - key attributes of entrepreneurial thinking among today’s high school students.
