TEACHING CULTURAL AND CIVILIZATION CONTENTS IN 2022 HISTORY PROGRAM GRADE 10 ACCORDING TO THE QUALITY AND COMPETENCY ORIENTATION

Abstract

Along with the new requirements and challenges in the context of globalization, to become the 21st century citizen, it is important that students need to be ready for international and intercultural integration capacity. To meet these requirements, the 2022 History curriculum is designed to enable students to gain an understanding of various cultures and civilizations in the world and in Vietnam through historical periods. Teaching methods are also innovated in the direction of forming and developing students’ qualities and competencies, aiming to creatively apply knowledge of culture and civilization into the social life. Based on the contents of culture and civilization in the 10th grade History curriculum and theoretical issues of teaching according to quality and competency orientation, the article will provide suggestions in teaching to meet the new educational goals.
