Abstract

Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) are one of the most popular motors today in the field of industrial servo control, especially in high-precision applications. The outstanding advantages of PMSM motors are high motor efficiency, high power factor, and output speed independent of voltage. Therefore, researching a simple control structure for the PMSM motor can effectively reduce production costs. The authors use simple relay control as the PMSM motor control algorithm. Relay control helps stabilize the controller's output, increase adjustment speed, and limit internal noise, regardless of motor parameters. This article presents the construction of a relay control system for a PMSM motor and simulates the results on Matlab/Simulink software. Simulation results show that the system's speed and torque response in both continuous time and discrete time have good performance.
